Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bourbon was rated the top spirit in the world. There’s bourbon, and then there’s divine inspiration painstakingly crafted into a spirit so sublime you’ll want to share it with the world. We make the second one. ANGEL’S ENVY is what happens when 200 years of bourbon tradition meet an independent master craftsman’s instinct to improve. It’s a total return to the art of craft-first, hand blended batches of 8 to 12 barrels at a time. We personally taste every barrel throughout each step of the aging process to ensure that the spirits meet our perfectionist standards. This would be enough for any other premium bourbon, but we think you deserve more. That’s why we finish every one of our whiskeys in hand-selected finishing barrels. For an added layer of flavor and complexity, our bourbon and special cask strength are finished in ruby port casks, and our rye is finished in rum barrels. There’s no set time for this process. It’s only ANGEL’S ENVY when we say it is.

Appearance: Rich gold with an amber depth.

Nose: Heavy caramel with vanilla up front, followed by roasted almonds, orange peel citrus and faint blueberry.

Palate: Pound cake, root beer, candy corn, honey, then tart strawberries, blackberries, figs, slight black pepper on the finish.

Finish: Less port forward than previous years, but while the port finish is distinct, the bourbon itself shines through the finish.

Some might prefer the more sippable regular-strength version, but for those seeking higher proof, this lively expression is surely a contender in the growing cask-strength category. The nose is rich with touches of peach and toffee, while the palate finds velvety caramel and dark-fruit notes attributable to a turn in Port barrels. 600 bottles released.

Notes of vanilla and milk chocolate that complement touches of red fruits, light oak and berries. Finish is lush and full, with hints of raisins, dates and smoke.
